Job Title: BIM Technician

Job Description

We are seeking experienced BIM Technicians to join our dynamic Design Group. The ideal candidates will have experience in designing Semiconductor facilities, High Tech facilities, Data Centers, Industrial, and/or Chemical facilities. This role demands a keen ability to produce detailed design documentation using industry standards and ensure compliance with code requirements for building permits.

Responsibilities

• Understand project scope and provide complete, detailed design documentation.
• Design electrical distribution, power and lighting systems, with medium voltage system design considered a plus.
• Design emergency and standby generator systems.
• Perform building load calculations in line with NEC and IECC guidelines.
• Coordinate project requirements with the Project Manager and Team Leadership.
• Communicate project status and issues with Team Leadership.
• Collaborate with in-house and external design team members to ensure quality and coordination.
• Attend meetings outside the office when required.
• Conduct pre-design site visits and as-building.
• Adhere to company standards and QC/QA practices.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in electrical design within the consulting engineering industry.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, IECC, ComCheck, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Bluebeam.
• Strong understanding of the construction process.
• Familiarity with NFPA National Electrical Code and International Building Codes.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Experience with distribution layouts, one-line diagrams, lighting layout, and lighting control systems.
• Knowledge of SKM and/or EasyPower software.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Field survey experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience using Revit on Semiconductor or DATA center or other high-tech projects in MEP.
• Experience in MEP, Architecture, Mechanical, and Electrical design.
• Knowledge in visual design and commercial work.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at TSMC in North Phoenix, with working hours between 6am and 5pm, Monday through Friday, comprising 8-9 hour days. The role offers room for growth within the MEP BIM Department, which is expanding and securing new projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
