Akkodis is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer for a Contract with a client in Stamford, CT. This role drives cloud modernization by migrating applications and infrastructure to AWS using industry‑best engineering practices.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AWS Cloud Engineer job responsibilities include:

  • Lead the migration of VMs and on‑prem applications to AWS by assessing current architectures and implementing cloud‑ready solutions.
  • Develop, enhance, and deploy cloud infrastructure using AWS services, Terraform, and automated CI/CD pipelines.
  • Build and maintain scalable cloud components leveraging EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Glue, Lambda, and other core AWS services.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define cloud best practices, application patterns, and modernization strategies.
  • Troubleshoot cloud performance issues, perform detailed analysis, and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure secure, reliable cloud operations through proper IAM configurations, monitoring, and adherence to cloud standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure design, or application modernization, with significant hands‑on work in AWS environments.
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in AWS compute, storage, databases, integration, and core services (EC2, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, Glue, Lambda, IAM, networking, monitoring).
  • Proven experience in cloud migration, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD delivery using tools such as Terraform, GitLab pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour
