Danske Bank is looking for a Business Functional Specialist (BFS) located in Denmark to join the Payments Data and Insights squad within the Core Payments Platform tribe’s Data Cluster. The Payments Data and Insights-squad is responsible for delivering payments data to customer-facing channels and supporting regulatory processes to counter financial crime. By ensuring the integrity and accessibility of payments data, the squad enables business customers to seamlessly integrate payments into their daily operations while promoting trust and efficiency in financial activities.

Role and Responsibilities/qualifications

As a Business Functional Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Story writing and documentation: Understand, elaborate, and document business requirements in Jira in the form of user stories, including acceptance criteria as well as maintaining functional documentation in Confluence.
  • Gap analysis: Perform detailed business analysis of existing system capabilities against to-be functionalities and document findings.
  • Testing: Create test scenarios and perform functional and regression testing to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Stakeholder communication: Facilitate communication with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities.
  • Collaboration with the Product Owner (PO): Support the PO in prioritizing user stories based on business value.
  • Transparency and alignment: Collaborate with upstream systems and teams to ensure alignment of deliveries and maintain a transparent overview of progress.

Secondary Skills

  • Payments and data domains: Previous experience working in payments and data-related areas is an advantage.
  • SQL: Knowledge of SQL to support data analysis and verification is a plus.
