As a US-based warranty provider, we provide expertise in safety and homecare to our customers. Our integrated solutions meet customer needs both inside and outside the home. Inside the home, we safeguard essential systems like plumbing, heating and cooling, appliances, power surge protection, hot water heaters, and interior electrical components. Outside the home, we ensure the protection of vital lines, including water, gas, wells, sewers, electric, and septic systems. We primarily go to market B2B2C, partnering mostly with water/gas/electric utilities and municipalities to offer our product leveraging their brand for marketing and often adding our subscription fee to the water/gas/electric bill itself. Position Summary

The HVAC Clean and Check Technician maintains the customer's equipment to ensure customer comfort and safety. Promote products, contracts and services to guarantee customer equipment maintenance, and provide total home comfort for the customer. This individual will be accountable for upholding all safety standards, including practicing safe driving and safe work habits at all times.

While our headquarters is in Naperville, this role is field based in Northern IL and requires regular travel to customer home locations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Cleaning the customer's equipment to maintain the efficiency of the equipment and ensure total home comfort.
• Checking the equipment for any defects which need to be repaired or replaced for customer comfort and safety.
• Legibly and accurately complete company paperwork.
• The technician may shut off and/or refuse to turn on a customer's equipment if they identify a safety issue such as a cracked heat exchanger.
• Technician must provide their own hand tools including, but not limited to wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, inspection cameras, etc.
• Understands and comply with all safety policies.
• Clean the customer’s equipment to maintain the efficiency of the equipment and ensure total home comfort.
• Thoroughly understands and complies with the inventory policies and procedures of NHS. Accountable for use of inventory involving his/her work.
• Able to complete all tasks sent to him/her via FSA app including billing customers correctly, ordering parts and materials as needed for job completion and handling paperwork properly, timely, and legibly.
• Must show a willingness to continue to learn and take additional training to develop proficiency in the field. This could include in-house training, manufacturers training (including after hours), videos and related articles.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role:

• 1 year minimum HVAC experience

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

• Climbing, Extreme Hot or Cold (out of doors), Heavy Lifting, Loud Noise, Use of ladders to get to equipment, crawling to look for registers, going into crawl spaces and attics to locate access furnace.
• Safety awareness, overhead hazards, equipment operations, wearing PPE as required.
• Must be able to reach, bend extend and lift 50-60 lbs.
• Must not be afraid of heights.

Computer Skills Needed to Perform the Job

• Ability to operate iPad

Education

• High School diploma or GED required.
• HVAC certification preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• EPA certification required

The base pay range for this position is $19.41 – $26.41 USD Hourlyl. The specific pay offered will depend on qualifications, experience, education and skill set. The compensation offered may also include an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive plan or commission target.
