As a Sous Chef, you'll be the driving force behind the success of Hyatt Place TCU Catering and LOT 12 Bar and Grill, orchestrating every meal with precision and flair. You'll support the Chef, guide the kitchen staff, and oversee daily operations to deliver exceptional experiences. Your Role

As a Sous Chef, you’ll be integral to our kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient food service to help deliver exceptional dining experiences for the discerning hotel or meeting guest AND the high energy team cheering, sports watching, have some fun guest at LOT 12. Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and present meals to meet guest or banquet event order specifications.
• Accurately measure and portion ingredients for consistency.
• Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to standards, procedures, and sanitation practices.
• Utilize and maintain kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, and steamers.
• Manage inventory, ensuring that supplies are fresh and of high quality.
• Monitor food temperatures during cooking and ensure proper storage.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation and kitchen.
• Oversee kitchen opening and closing tasks and support the Executive Chef as needed.
• Prepare food for employee cafeteria or work banquet stations as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior Cook experience in a hotel or restaurant required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unexpired Food Handlers Certification.
• Flexible availability.
