We’re looking for a Record to Report Accounting Specialist in Panamá City, Panamá (on-site).

Leads the record to report processes ensuring accuracy and compliance. Coordinates financial reporting activities to meet internal and external requirements. Oversees internal controls to maintain data integrity and mitigate risks.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Responsible for the process execution and compliance of all Record-to-Report process under IFRS and local GAAP (MEC, BSAR, BSR, JVs etc.).
  • Preparation Statutory Financial Statement and coordination audit deliverables together with Financial Controller.
  • Up to date with changes on statutory & tax rules and regulations; assesses business impact.
  • Establish (local) policies & procedures for statutory accounting & reporting, including statutory accounts.
  • Safeguard compliance with accounting standards and regulations (FRT, IFRS, local regulations, directives).
  • Share data from financials as and when necessary to resolve Statutory/Tax/Group and Internal audit queries.
  • Provide accurate & timely data for fiscal reporting and other requirements.
  • Execute ICS Controls related to the RTR domain in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Supports audits with documentations, process descriptions etc.
  • Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of continuous improvement and harmonization initiatives related to key control processes (PRE_MEC, MEC TS, BSAR, BSR).
  • Linking pin with the other counterparts within finance domains concerning the accounting of OTC and PTP.
  • Pro-Active Team player within the RTR domain reaching out to the financial controller and to other stakeholders when necessary.

More about you

  • Bachelor's degree completed or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with basic knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Minimum 1 years of hands-on experience in Record-to-Report processes, statutory accounting, and financial reporting under IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferrable.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
