Join the Louisiana Department of Health as a senior-level attorney providing high-impact legal guidance on critical public health matters. This Attorney 4 role serves as senior counsel to the Office of Public Health (OPH) and the State Health Officer, advising on public health laws and the State Sanitary Code. Working closely with executive leadership and program experts, the position plays a key role in supporting statewide public health initiatives, policy development, and regulatory compliance. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to influence public health decisions that protect and improve the health of Louisiana’s communities.

Compensation: This position is eligible for the following Special Entrance Rates (SER), as well as a Premium Pay of up to $2.00/hr for hours worked based on longevity.
Attorney 1 – $27.08 hr / $2,166.40 bi-weekly
Attorney 2 – $28.98 hr / $2,318.40 bi-weekly
Attorney 3 – $32.02 hr / $2,561.60 bi-weekly
Attorney 4 – $34.26 hr / $2,740.80 bi-weekly
