A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Data Engineer

Position type: Full-time, Contract

Duration: 12 months (with high possibilities of extension)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote)

As a Data Engineer you will:

Description:

• Strong Data Skill set - experience working with Complex data sets and analyzing them (Teradata and Hadoop)
• Need an immediate contributor - someone with an analytical mindset Can dig into the data and map out where it takes them. Create complex scripts /Strong analytical skillset
• Codes design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in analytics data systems for mobile and online data for consumer and wealth management.
• Works with stakeholders, Product Owners, and other data engineers to aid in the implementation of data requirements, analyze performance, conduct research and troubleshoot any issues.
• Proficient in data engineering practices and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns.
• Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements.
• Codes complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform and control data in operational and/or analytics data systems per the defined acceptance criteria.
• Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.
• Assembles large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional requirements.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency and workload management.
• Defines and builds data pipelines that enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business.
• Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors, and triages the underlying cause.
• Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
• Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release.
• Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.
• Provides leadership and mentoring to junior Data Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack.

• Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience.
• 7+ years' experience as a Analyst or Developer.
• 5+ years of advanced SQL experience and understanding of relational databases.
• 5+ years of experience with Teradata and utilities (BTEQ, TPT, etc).
• 3+ years of experience working on Pyspark, Impala/Hive.
• Must have a working knowledge of Agile software delivery practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Office suite software skills with (Excel, Access, SharePoint).
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning capabilities.
• Requires exceptional organizational skills, problem solving, attention to detail and timeline management.
• Ability to communicate with both business and technology partners effectively.
• Scheduling software experience with (Autosys).
• Shell scripting experience.
• Experience with Bitbucket, Github, Ansible.
• Desired Qualifications:
• Experience with Oracle, Tableau, .NET, Autosys, JIRA, Data Management tools, GitHub CoPilot.
• Knowledge of Global Technology, Enterprise Data Management & Enterprise Data Architecture programs, strategies and standards.
• 3+ years of service in the financial industry with reporting and development experience.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $65.06 - $65.06 per hour.

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
