We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as Head of Tax .
- Lead and mitigate the country level tax risk within an acceptable risk level and reach the balance between risk appetite and tax efficiency;
- Supervise control procedures of tax related issues derived from business activities and ensure the compliance of such procedures with local tax law and group policy;
- Fulfil and execute required country level tax related engagement, and all reporting (internal and external) activities;
- Support CFO to contribute to local tax strategy and drive the implementation of globally led Tax change initiatives
- Act as the principal point of contact within Korea for internal and external stakeholders for all Tax matters;
- Partner with Business and Functions by providing advisory services on areas such as new product development, deal formation, or various internal activities;
- Participate in and work with relevant industry bodies and groups in relation to Tax-related initiatives and build a positive connection with the Tax community;
- Support the regional Head of Tax and CFO to set and deliver the strategy for the Tax function;
- Act as subject matter expert in country and lead the Tax team to cooperate with Business and Functions and external tax advisors to manage tax issues;
- Develop and motivate staff by coaching, training and creating opportunities for growth;
- Provide and give input to local solutions to complex global issues/initiatives in an ever-changing, high-risk environment;
- Streamline processes and support senior management to deploy resources in an effective and efficient way;
- Ensure tax operational procedure manuals are in place, updated, and compliant with Tax FIM and related Tax standards set out Globally;
[Qualification]
- Bachelor degree or above, majored in tax / accounting / finance.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and tax-related areas, with experience in banking or financial services industry or CPA firm is preferred
- Solid background and knowledge in the field of Korea Tax
- Relevant professional qualfication required, such as KICPA
- Excellent communicator with strong inter-personal and infulencing skills.
- Supervisory skills to lead a team.
- Fluency in Korean and English
