Job Purpose:
The Driver is responsible for ensuring safe transporting, delivering, and installing equipment at customer sites. This role will support warehouse operations by assisting with inventory management, staging equipment, loading/unloading, and maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Safely deliver, unload, and install copiers and related equipment at customer sites.
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.
- Load, secure, and transport equipment to prevent damage during delivery.
- Maintain accurate delivery, inventory, and delivery pickup.
- Assist with warehouse duties including inventory control, staging, and equipment.
- Keep warehouse and delivery areas clean and organized.
- Perform other activities that support Milner and our Sales/Service organization.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- A minimum of one to two years as a driver/delivery person.
- Skilled in driving 15–20-foot trucks with lift gate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.
Working Conditions:
- Requires standing, walking, reaching, stooping.
- May require occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Exposure to heat, cold, and fumes in open warehouse.
