Aon is looking for a Payroll Accountant - Bermuda

What the day will look like

• Preparation of accurate monthly end-to-end payroll for multiple group companies.
• Administer employee benefits programs (health, pension, payroll tax) and reconcile benefit accounts.
• Prepare reconciliation of payroll bank accounts.
• Post payroll related journals and allocations to the general ledger for various entities.
• Ensure accuracy of payroll taxes, statutory filings, and intercompany allocations.
• Maintain payroll master data and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Run reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations related to payroll and benefits.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams across multiple entities to support budgeting and financial planning.
• Ad-hoc accounting tasks and operational improvement initiatives.
• Preparation of ad-hoc monthly financial reports.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

• An accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA) or recent relevant experience.
• Minimum of two years’ post qualification experience, if applicable.
• Strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, benefits accounting, and statutory reporting.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and cost allocations.
• Advanced IT and Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables).
• Working knowledge of Workday software and Blue Bison/HR Manager would be an asset.
• Excellent attention to accuracy together with well-developed organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Strong work ethic and the ability and commitment to meet mandated timelines, which may include working weekends and statutory holidays.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams
