At Eni, we are looking for a Process Safety Specialist to join Eni Côte d'Ivoire, in Abidjan. You will be responsible for providing technical support to the HSE Department in accordance with Eni Côte d'Ivoire's integrated HSE management system, the HSE MSG, and Eni Natural Resources standards.

Main responsibilities:
- Apply Eni Côte d'Ivoire's policy on major accident prevention.
- Develop, implement, and update procedures and work instructions for the process safety management system in accordance with Eni standards (Process Safety Management System).
- Identify safety and environmental critical elements (SECEs) and define their performance standards.
- Ensure regular verification of SECEs (calibration, ESD/PSD testing, etc.).
- Establish a monthly dashboard to monitor process safety performance indicators.
- Conduct visits to operational sites to monitor aspects related to process safety.
- Deliver awareness sessions on process safety culture and related aspects.
- Carry out periodic inspections at operational sites to identify process safety anomalies and follow up on actions to resolve them.
- Provide technical support to other units, primarily operations, maintenance, asset integrity, and projects.
- Participate in workshops and contribute to the preparation of process safety risk analysis documents (hazard studies, POI, PSI, HAZID, HAZOP, GRA, FERA, EERA, LOPA, SIL, etc.).
- Coordinate activities with other HSE Department services to provide timely comments on technical documents for new projects.
- Record, investigate, and follow up on incidents (accidents and near misses) and UA/UC related to process safety, as well as planned and unplanned shutdowns.
- Promote and implement Eni's Process Safety Fundamentals.
- Promote and implement all initiatives to improve the process safety management culture.
- Actively participate in external HSE audits (BART, Asset Integrity, certification, etc.).
- Conduct and follow up on process safety audits.
- Keep the technical documentation archive up to date (P&ID, Cause & Effect Matrix, ERP, etc.).
- Support the implementation of the emergency management system.
- Carry out any activity or task related to process safety as requested by the HSE Operations Coordinator or HSE Manager.
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree (three years of higher education).
- Technical degree.
- Preferably five years’ experience in process safety or three years’ experience in oil and gas within HSE, projects, or operations. Recent graduates may also be considered.
- Basic knowledge of HSE topics and process safety management.
- Fluent spoken and written French; intermediate spoken and written English (ability to write reports in English).
- Process safety: Familiarity with SECE, HAZOP, HAZID, FERA, QRA, ATEX studies, change management, bypass and ESD/PSD management, and related areas.
- Operational activities: Knowledge of onshore and offshore oil and gas production and processing activities, drilling and completion activities, and process safety.
- IT: Proficiency in IT tools and Microsoft Office software.
- Knowledge/training in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (desired).
- Mandatory certificates (covered by Eni Côte d’Ivoire): BOSIET/FOET (OPITO) or STCW (Survival at Sea) certificate; Seafarer certificate issued by local authorities.
- Recommended certificates (provide valid documentation): COVID-19 vaccination; Process Safety training; Fire Safety training; First Aid training; any other HSE training.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented with planning and organising skills.
