As a Staff Services Analyst you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide procurement assistance, such as purchasing and acquiring goods and services needed for operations in the Chatsworth & Environmental Chemistry Lab (ECL) Pasadena by integrating environmentally preferred procurement into business practices and using the Financial Information System for California (Fi$Cal) and Procurement and Contract Management System (PCMS)
  • Serve as the Chatsworth Regional Office procurement liaison to DTSC’s Accounting and Financial Planning Offices and the Contract and Business Services Branch for purchase-related matters
  • Follow DTSC and State of California procurement requirements using electronic and paper forms and processes, including, but not limited to DGS State Contracting Manuals (SCM), to remain in compliance with State of California procurement requirements
  • Serve as the Liaison between Legal and Program staff with regard to Public Records Act (PRA) Requests
  • Identify and analyze records in collaboration with Project Managers to determine if they are exempt from public disclosure and determine appropriate exemption in collaboration with and guidance from OLC staff
  • Create and maintain documentation of past PRA exemptions to collaborate with and assist Project Managers with consistently assessing and applying designated exemption type
