Nature & Purpose of Position
Embedded Tutors offer academic support and encourage student engagement in and outside the classroom by offering tutoring hours, facilitated study sessions, meeting with faculty members and modeling best student practices. Embedded Tutors are connected to a faculty member, and support a classroom for the duration of the semester. Embedded Tutors have the opportunity to provide individualized and group support to students in their designated classroom.

Other Requirements for the Position
Recommendation from a faculty member, preferably in the field of tutoring interest, is required. EX: if you wanted to offer Embedded Support in HIST 1301, then you would need a recommendation letter from a faculty member, preferably a History faculty member, that could share about your abilities in the classroom and with History courses.
