Job Description

Hall Nissan in Virginia Beach has expanded our Automotive Parts delivery region, and we are looking for a Box Truck Driver, to drive a route daily between Hampton Roads and the Richmond area. This is a Monday through Friday position, 8:30AM to 4PM. Position pays $18/hour.

Summary:

The Parts Driver will be responsible for transporting automotive parts to different locations using a company vehicle while obeying all federal and state traffic laws and safe daily practices. This individual will communicate at a high level to both internal and external customers to drive a high level of customer service.

Essential Duties:

• Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors
• Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up and checks for payments
• Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries, pick-ups, payments and COD’s
• Advises Parts Manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance
• Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers' cars

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License, with 2 or fewer moving violations in last 3 years and ALSO no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in last 3 years
• Minimum 1-year experience driving a box truck
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Self-Starter with proven ability to seek out new ways to build opportunities for the dealership and customer satisfaction
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency and general mathematics skills
