Overview
- Provide interim training and support for the scheduling functions of a skilled nursing facility to enhance the effectiveness of the facility, while they have a vacancy in the Workforce Management Scheduler role.
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing service department, as well as it programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the skilled nursing facility.
How you Will make a Difference
- Create the facility four (4) week Master set schedule and posts the schedule in accordance with Signature’s Scheduling Standards.
- Generate all required posting such as BIPA, daily assignment sheets, and monthly schedules.
- Manage nursing hours (PPD) and proper staff ratio to census.
- Monitor overtime closely with the goal of decreasing/eliminating overtime.
- Manage Time and Attendance, ensuring complete and timely documentation within the Time system software. Provide attendance report updates to facility leadership.
- Utilize the functionality of the Time System software, including posting open shifts, filling open shifts, PTO approval/denial, and stakeholder messaging.
- Manage, support, and coordinate stakeholders’ PTO requests, holiday rotations, and shift trades.
- Attend daily meetings to discuss scheduling needs and absences.
- Make staffing adjustments as needed according to budgetary constraints, census fluctuations, call-offs, and pre-planned leaves of absence.
- Anticipate staffing needs and takes rapid action to partner with recruitment with the goal of minimizing open positions.
What you Need to make a Difference
- Meet physical and sensory requirements stated below and be able to work in the described environment.
- Associate degree in business-related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years administrative and/or healthcare experience required.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrated intermediate computer skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet navigation.
- High level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the facility and work well within a team environment in support of facility and company objectives.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy and excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- Function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.
- Ability to travel and provide on-site support full time.
