Job Description

Join our team as a Racker, where you will be responsible for preparing metal parts for powder coating in Plant 1. This role involves the meticulous task of picking and hanging parts on racks, ensuring that each piece is ready for the next stage of production. You will also inspect parts for quality, enter completed work orders into our computer system, and collaborate with management to maintain smooth production flow.

Responsibilities

  • Rack metal parts and prepare them for powder coating.
  • Inspect parts visually to ensure quality standards.
  • Enter completed work orders into the computer system.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure efficient production flow.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with racking, packaging, and general production.
  • Knowledge of material handling and inspection.
  • High attention to safety and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to lift between 30-50 lbs repetitively.
  • Proficiency in reading and following basic work instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Comfort with performing tedious tasks.

Work Environment

Work in a metal plating company with 100 employees across three plants. This industrial setting focuses on plating and coating metal parts. The temperature can be warm in the summer and cold in some departments during the winter.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.65 - $21.65/hr.
