General Summary:

The Qualcomm IoT team is hiring a System Development Engineer specializing in system stability. In this role, you will ensure the stability of core software across multiple IoT product lines, including robotics, wearable devices, and smart cameras, running on Qualcomm chipsets. You will have the opportunity to analyze complex system issues, enhance platform reliability, and drive innovation in stability-related technologies.

???? Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve system stability issues (Crash, Reboot, Hang, etc.)
• Monitor and optimize overall system performance and reliability
• Investigate and debug complex BSP and platform-level problems
• Design, develop, and improve stability and debugging tools to accelerate issue resolution
• Drive and explore cutting-edge technical topics to deliver innovative stability solutions

???? Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python
• Deep understanding of the Linux kernel and user-space programs
• Hands-on experience in Core BSP and Platform development
• Solid knowledge of Linux kernel subsystems (process scheduling, memory management, IPC, deadlock handling, etc.), file systems, and communication protocols (I2C/SPI/MIPI)
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and tuning stability issues (Crash/Reboot/Hang/FWR/Tombstone)
• Experience in developing and enhancing debug tools for embedded platforms
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive stability-related technical initiatives
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural work environment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
