Warranty Claims Specialist

Purpose: this position exists to process warranty claims and to maintain warranty records to promote timely, accurate and cost efficient processing of warranty claims.

Essential Functions:

  • Research, review, code and process all types of warranty claims assuring that all required documentation and information has been received; approves or denies claims.
  • Research and resolve pending issues on claims.
  • Makes vendor chargeback decisions during claim processing.
  • Communicates with dealers regarding claims issues.

Additional Functions:

  • Convert claims from Canadian dollars to US currency using current exchange rate.
  • Assists in training dealers on policies, processes and website usage.
  • Runs bi-weekly batch process & checks ready-to-pay claims for duplicates, verifies claim amounts, proper pay-to dealers; and pulls ready-to-pay and denied claims.

Experience / Knowledge:

  • Customer facing experience is desired.
  • Prior call center experience is helpful.
  • Requires knowledge of Jayco products, processes.
  • Willingness to learn, grow and adapt to an ever-changing product environment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.

Necessary Skills / Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate with dealers in a professional manner to gather facts and resolve disputes.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries on a wide variety of issues using SOPs in a high volume environment.
  • Detail orientation with demonstrated organizational skills is required.
  • Demonstrates desire and ability to assess problem situations and respond appropriately.
  • Possess a strong work ethic, including arriving on time & working scheduled shifts.

Work Requirements:

  • This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor in an office setting approximately 95% of the day.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, or crouch; use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
  • This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours & days worked (including Saturdays, as needed).
  • Regular attendance is required.
