Job Title: Network and Security Architect

Key Responsibilities:

Network Architecture Design:

• Design and develop scalable, high-performance network architectures, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-based networks.
• Create detailed network diagrams, documentation, and blueprints for implementation.
• Ensure network designs align with business objectives, scalability, and future growth.

Security Architecture and Implementation:

• Develop and implement robust security architectures to protect the organization’s network and data.
• Design and deploy firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and other security solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or other relevant frameworks.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the network and security infrastructure.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks, including implementing security controls and monitoring systems.
• Perform regular security audits and penetration testing to ensure the integrity of the network.

Cloud and Hybrid Network Integration:

• Design and implement secure cloud and hybrid network solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Ensure seamless integration of on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Implement security measures for cloud environments, including identity and access management (IAM) and encryption.

Network and Security Monitoring:

• Implement and manage network monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Proactively identify and resolve network performance issues and security threats.
• Establish incident response protocols and lead investigations into security breaches.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to teams on network and security best practices.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and security architectures, configurations, and processes.
• Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance status for management.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation:

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in networking and cybersecurity.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and processes to enhance the organization’s network and security posture.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in network and security architecture, design, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and security protocols (e.g., IPsec, SSL/TLS).
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Proficiency in security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) for network and security management.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Experience in Zero Trust Architecture and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) frameworks.

Additional Requirements:

Security Clearance Requirement: Given the secure nature of this role, we are seeking candidates who are Australian Citizens with an active security clearance (NV1).This requirement ensures that all team members are cleared to handle sensitive information and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of security in our operations.

Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week
