Job Title: Shipping Clerk (Nights)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk to join our night shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient documentation, managing production errors, and operating our automated systems. This role is crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of our shipping and production lines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and document production errors and mistakes.
• Operate and fix issues such as paper jams in automated systems.
• Utilize lifting pulley systems to move materials to paper pressing system lines.
• Handle various shipping and receiving tasks using hand tools.
• Perform documentation control with precision and accuracy.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in documentation and error logging.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and general labor tasks.
• Experience with packing, production, and assembly processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Proficient in wearing and using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, steel toe shoes, and respirators.
• Strong visual and listening acuity with retention of instructions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baton Rouge, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
