Project Manager

This Opportunity:

POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is currently seeking a Project Manager to join the Power Delivery department in our Minneapolis, MN office. This position will manage various types of Transmission and Distribution projects.

Your Impact:

  • Lead the project planning process including initiation, design, engineering, material procurement, construction, commissioning, and close out
  • Manage project implementation including project schedule, project budget and the project resources including external vendors and contractors
  • Serve as the primary project authority for assigned project personnel on major project-related issues
  • Direct project team and lead the project management process
  • Responsible for metrics tracking, associated reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with regulatory, corporate and department procedures during all the phases of the project

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree and industry related experience from an accredited university required – engineering, engineering management, or construction management discipline preferred
  • Experience of five (5) + years of professional experience in the construction, and/or electric power and communications industry
  • Five (5) + years relevant project management experience
  • Relevant experience includes large-scale project management, and/or project lead engineering experience on large/complex projects
  • Knowledge and experience with project management processes and tools
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Five (5)+ years of project management experience
  • Experience in project management controls area

Compensation:

  • Expected Salary (all locations): $102,700 - $25,500

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
