About the role

We are seeking an experienced learning leader to shape the future of capability across Customer Markets Operations. You will be a strategic leader who drives the direction of training across our contact centre network, broader operations and offshore partners, ensuring alignment to business priorities, regulatory obligations and operational KPIs. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team that delivers real outcomes for our people and customers.

What you’ll be doing

• Shaping the learning vision and align programs to business requirements and outcomes.
• Drive a digital-first learning strategy focused on efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure programs meet regulatory requirements and measure effectiveness through data and reporting.
• Lead a merged team of capability specialists.
• Develop technical and facilitation capability across the team.
• Creating a culture of connection, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Govern design and delivery of capability programs across risk, regulation, customer experience and operational processes.
• Implement modern learning strategies and challenge inefficiency.
• Collaborating with Operations, Risk, Change, Workforce Planning and offshore vendor partners to enable effective capability delivery with minimal operational impact.
• Representing the function in strategic forums and influencing decisions that impact capability and customer experience.

What you’ll bring

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

• Proven leadership in training design, delivery and governance within a regulated environment (energy, telecommunications, banking or similar).
• Strong understanding of Australian compliance requirements and operational risk.
• Experience leading teams through transformation, digital enablement and organisational change.
• Expertise in adult learning principles, blended learning, and technology-enabled learning solutions.
• Strong stakeholder influence and the ability to align capability outcomes to business needs.
• Tertiary qualifications in Adult Learning, Education or a related field (Cert IV TAE highly regarded).

Highly Regarded:

• Experience with modern learning tools (e.g., Chameleon Creator, Articulate 360, Adobe Learning Suite, Powtoon, Vimeo or similar).
