Role Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Embedded Linux Software Engineer with hands-on experience in low-level Linux development, hardware bring-up, and C/C++ programming to join our PON devices team.

You will report to the Director of Software Devices, Broadband business unit.

You will be based in Caesarea, Israel.

Location

Working at least 3 times a week from the office

What you will be doing:

As part of the role, you will be involved in the following activities:

• Play a key role in developing next-generation PON products, from hardware bring-up all the way to full production
• Work closely with hardware engineers according to SW/HW interface documents
• Design and implement new features in an Embedded environment·
• Collaborate effectively with various R&D teams across hardware, software, and QA.

What you should have:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science / SW engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in C/C++ programming
• Experience in Linux-based systems
• Experience with low-level/HW interfaces like I2C/GPIO, EEPROM, SFP modules, GPIO/sensors, etc.
• Experience with bootloaders (e.g. U-Boot), device trees, board diagnostics
• Experience with Python and Shell scripting
• Proven experience in Networking (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, Ethernet)
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Linux Kernel & drivers programming - advantage
• Proven experience working in an Agile environment – advantage
