Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Contract with a client in Richardson, TX. The ideal candidate will represent the Quality Engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, driving requirements grooming and test planning.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Engineer job responsibilities include:

  • Represent the Quality Engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements grooming, sprint planning, defect triaging, and risk mitigation.
  • Plan and coordinate all testing activities, such as test design, in-sprint automation, regression automation, test execution, and defect tracking.
  • Actively participate in requirements grooming sessions to ensure clear acceptance criteria and prevent requirement gaps.
  • Perform comprehensive functional and regression testing to prevent defects in regression, end-to-end, client, and production environments.
  • Translate QA, UAT, and business scenarios into automated regression test cases for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) by improving QA processes and providing guidance to team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering, with strong exposure to automation and agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead QA activities across the project lifecycle, including requirements grooming, test planning, and defect management.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools for regression and in-sprint automation.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $56.00 per hour
