Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The IT Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Coordinator works as a member of the Firm’s information technology team to develop and organize technology recovery and business continuity plans for systems, applications, data centers, and local office operations to effectively support Firm business processes. The Coordinator advocates a resiliency-by-design posture by developing, coordinating, and influencing a culture that supports operational resiliency through regulatory compliance, vendor risk management, plan maintenance, test exercises, and reporting. The Coordinator works directly with all groups across the global IT department and other internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate and required IT recovery and continuity plans and procedures are implemented, understood and followed, and that systems documentation addressing information and IT recovery is organized, profiled, published, updated, and accessible. This position contributes to the Firm’s major incident process, technology review team, vendor risk management program, and assists the IT Compliance Manager and Associate Director of the IT Governance team with conveying compliance and risk management concepts, data protection best practices, and IT operational requirements to IT project teams and their customers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Information Technology, Information Security, or Technology Management programs preferred.
  • Five (5) years of experience within the information technology field.
  • Working experience with disaster recovery and business continuity plans and knowledge of IT disaster recovery process and cloud disaster recovery.
  • IT background with practical knowledge of a variety of technologies including operating systems, servers/storage, network and web infrastructure, database architectures, software development, endpoint management, advanced threat protection, data loss prevention, and intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Certifications through DRI International, including IT DR Management Professional and/or Business Continuity Management Professional; CBCP, MBCP preferred.
