Casual VE Teacher, Education Support & Language

  • Casual hours commencing Semester 1, February 2026
  • Teaching into a Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation, Certificate IV in School Based Education Support and Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation
  • Based at the Melbourne City campus

About You

As a Casual Teacher within RMIT’s College of Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the program.

You will participate in the program’s continuing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including online delivery methods) and methods of students’ assessment. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

We are looking for VE Teachers to assist in the below programs:

  • C5422 Diploma of Teacher Education Preparation
  • C4420 Certificate IV in School Based Education Support
  • C4411 Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation

To be successful in this position, you’ll have / you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Hold or be enrolled in a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110 or higher)
  • Current experience in either Primary, Secondary or Vocational teaching
  • Hold an Employee Working With Children card (Victoria)
  • Experience in Academic writing or Mathematics is highly desirable
