Where you’ll work…

Located in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley, Villa Palermo is a state-of-the industry manufacturing facility that adjoins our company headquarters.

Our high-tech pizza manufacturing operations include an on-site bakery to produce best-in-class crusts, robotic packaging equipment, and a 24-hour shipping and receiving facility.

When you’ll work…

The R&D Lab Technician role works predominantly day shift hours with occasional evenings to complete projects or support company and industry events.

What You'll Do...

As an R&D Lab Tech, you will support the daily operations of our R&D Lab. Your responsibilities will include:

• Sample Inspection: Examine production samples at various stages to ensure consistency and quality.
• Lab Preparation: Perform opening tasks to ensure the lab is ready for on-time start-up.
• Sample Management: Prepare and ship samples to customers using preferred carriers.
• Product Preparation: Assist in preparing samples for both new and existing products.
• Organization: Adhere to weekly duty lists and maintain a clean, organized lab environment.
• Event Support: Help set up special events, including product cuttings and demonstrations.
• Inventory Management: Monitor materials, replenish stock, dispose of expired products, and inform the Lab Coordinator of inventory needs.
• Compliance: Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in updating them as necessary.
• Quality & Safety: Comply with leadership directions regarding quality, safety, and company policies, promoting a safe work environment.

What You'll Bring...

• Education: High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a lab, production, bakery, or kitchen environment preferred.
• Skills:
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
  • Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements...

• Ability to talk and hear clearly.
• Frequently required to sit and use hands/fingers for keyboard tasks.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Close vision required for detailed tasks.
