Bachelor's degree. Eight years of progressively responsible experience in developing, and/or configuring applications, and/or IT infrastructure support/maintenance, and/or radio infrastructure systems, and/or information security are required. Additional related work in developing, and/or configuring applications, and/or IT infrastructure support/maintenance, and/or radio infrastructure systems, and/or information security may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
This is complex and specialized technical management of technology solutions. An employee in this class is responsible for supervising the work and providing technical assistance to Information Technology professional staff performing a variety of complex technical functions to ensure the uninterrupted operation of enterprise-wide solutions in support of Miami Dade County. Duties include directing the analysis and implementation of in-house and/or vendor technology solutions while determining the most feasible design for technology interoperability. Additional responsibilities include conducting feasibility and cost studies of new technology solutions, reviewing and approving implementations for compliance with security standards and policies. General direction is received from an IT Division Director level who confers on technical and operational concerns problems and evaluates work for quality of results.
