Data and Insights Team Leader
We are looking for a new team member for the Data analytics & BI Specialist position at our ABB Operational Center Europe in Ostrava. We are seeking a Power BI specialist with strong experience in report and dashboard development, data modeling, and platform optimization. The role will focus on building and maintaining scalable reporting solutions, implementing best practices for performance and usability, and supporting continuous improvement across the Power BI environment.
The ABB Operational Center Europe in Ostrava is part of ABB’s Process Automation Division, delivering engineering services for units across Europe and employing over 800 people. It also includes a supply chain management center.

What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that deliver actionable insights and support business decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and performance by optimizing data models, queries, and visualizations.
- Implement version control and deployment processes for reports and datasets to support scalable and reliable delivery.
- Monitor report performance and resolve issues, ensuring optimal user experience and timely incident handling.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining report design, optimizing data models, and incorporating user feedback into development cycles.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI
- Practical experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, CI/CD pipelines) is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or willingness to quickly learn new technologies
- Independence, attention to detail, and a systematic approach
