As Program Manager – Aerospace and Information, you will play a pivotal role in driving Nova NZ’s growth in these critical sectors. From day one, you’ll deliver high-value consulting services to our clients, solving complex challenges that matter, while building and expanding our program capability. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to implement business strategy, lead program outcomes, and develop strong client relationships. At the same time, you’ll be at the forefront of business development, identifying opportunities and shaping solutions that deliver real value. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership at the Program Level:
- Work with your General Manager and Program leadership Peers to implement business strategy and ensure successful execution.
Program outcomes:
- Achieve profitable results in line with established budgets & achieve strategic objectives allocated to the program against agreed business plan objectives.
Operations:
- Allocate resources between the projects within the program.
- Coordinate and monitor projects delivered within the program to maximise value generated for Nova.
- Contribute to yearly business planning and creation of associated budgets.
Customer relationships and business development:
- Maintain a proactive relationship with clients and represent Nova in client and other forums.
- Lead business development efforts to identify, develop and execute new and follow-on business.
- Coordinate the gathering and initial analysis of business development intelligence.
- Contribute to capture and bid development activities & engage in the delivery of billable work.
Line Manager Responsibilities:
- Build and lead an effective team that works collaboratively toward achieving strategic objectives and program priorities.
Consultant Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring their satisfaction with the consulting services provided.
- Have a strong focus on client outcomes, solving complex challenges which really matter to our clients in innovative ways.
- Work in partnership with clients to deliver value at every step of the project journey.
- Understand the client’s unique needs, challenges, and objectives.
Essential requirements:
- Relevant industry experience at a senior level.
- Stakeholder and client management experience with proven experience in building and sustaining strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lead, manage, and mentor employees.
- Demonstrated complex project management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Degree qualified in a relevant field, and/or substantial relevant industry experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve complex business issues and develop a path to desirable solutions.
- Ability to legally work in New Zealand.
- Ability to gain and maintain an NZ Government security clearance.
- Ability to work on a client site as required.
- Ability to travel within New Zealand as required.
