Job Title: Environmental Monitoring Analyst I

Job Description

Join a global bio-pharmaceutical company specializing in generic sterile injectable manufacturing as an Environmental Monitoring Analyst I. Be part of a team responsible for viable and non-viable monitoring of manufacturing areas, including air, water, and surface sampling. Utilize a proprietary LIMS for logging samples and adhere to cGMP documentation practices. Analysts will also process water, product, and commodity samples and perform bioburden testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct viable and non-viable monitoring of manufacturing areas, including air, water, and surface sampling.
• Log samples in a proprietary LIMS and adhere to cGMP documentation practices.
• Process water, product, and commodity samples.
• Perform bioburden testing.
• Assist Supervisors in training and integrating new hires into the pharmaceutical industry.
• Act as an interim lead for the Supervisor as needed.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related life science field with 0-1+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in environmental monitoring.
• Associate's degree or high school diploma with 1-2 years of environmental monitoring experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in gowning and sampling in an aseptic manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with GMP and environmental monitoring practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with LIMS and MODA sample tracking systems.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical lab setup and cGMP manufacturing.
• Understanding of clean room practices and aseptic lab processing.
• Familiarity with bioburden testing and aseptic sampling.

Work Environment

Work in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with 80% of the time spent in manufacturing areas and 20% in the lab. The role involves a day shift with a 2,2,3 rotating schedule from 7am-7pm. Training involves working with team trainers to become certified on routine portions of the job.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Knightdale, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
