Public transit professional with experience in developing and coordinating both short- and long-range transit plans, as well as organizing the operations of the City’s demand-response and fixed-route transit systems. Participates in activities with other City departments, Marion County, the Federal Transit Administration, and the Florida Department of Transportation. The Transit Coordinator performs a full range of professional transit planning work, applying technical knowledge to municipal and regional transit planning challenges. This position reports to the Transit Administrator.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Planning, Business Administration, Logistics or a related field, plus two years of experience in public transit operations or administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Training Programs
