Finance Manager

Purpose of role

The Finance Manager leads all financial activities for Castrol Egypt, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with Egyptian regulations and IFRS. The role supervises budgeting, forecasting, performance and cashflow, maintains strong controls, handles audits, and ensures full statutory and tax compliance. As ERP super-user, the Finance Manager drives data quality and process efficiency while working closely with JV partners, distributors and regional teams to provide clear financial insight for key decisions. The role also leads a small finance team, promotes continuous improvement, and upholds bp’s standards for safety, compliance and inclusion.

Key accountabilities

Lead budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and financial analysis

Ensure compliance with Egyptian law, tax requirements, IFRS and bp/JV standards

Maintain strong internal controls and handle statutory audits

Supervise treasury and cashflow, ensuring reliable forecasting

Act as ERP super-user to support system integrity and operational improvements

Provide financial insight to JV partners, distributors, regional finance and the Executive Committee

Lead, mentor and develop a small finance team

Promote safe, compliant and ethical behavior in line with bp’s values

What you will need to be successful

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or related field

7–8 years of finance experience, including 3+ years as a Finance Manager leading a small or medium-sized team

Solid understanding of financial controls, performance management and reporting

Experience handling tight deadlines and multiple priorities

Strong analytical judgement and decision-making skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation abilities

Proficiency in Arabic and English

Strong Excel skills

It would be beneficial to also have:

A professional qualification such as ICAEW, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or a master’s degree or equivalent experience in finance

Experience in a joint-venture or multinational environment
