Child & Family Counselor
Location: Smokey Point
Schedule: 30 Hours per Week

Compass Health is currently hiring for a Child & Family Counselor to provide direct, supportive, and ongoing coordination of therapeutic services to children with behavioral health needs and their families, as well as some adults. What You’ll Do
As a Counselor, you’ll support clients through a wide range of behavioral health services, including:
- Providing case management, treatment planning, and resource coordination
- Delivering individual, family, and group counseling using Evidence-Based Practices whenever possible
- Assisting clients in developing natural supports and accessing community resources
- Assessing for safety risks and collaborating on crisis plans when needed
- Coordinating care with schools, medical providers, courts, and other community partners
- Participating in treatment team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development
- Ensuring all documentation, charting, and billing meets regulatory and agency standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BSW) in a Behavioral Science-related field required
- Demonstrated knowledge or willingness to learn Evidence-Based Practices
- Must apply for Agency Affiliated Counselor status with WA State DOH upon hire if not already credentialed
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License, vehicle, and insurance (if applicable)
- Must pass pre-employment criminal background check
