Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting first part and lot inspections of products daily. You will utilize various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, plug and thread gauges, digital comparators, and the FARO Arm with Verisurf software to perform inspection duties. Your role involves reading customer engineering drawings, part lists, and work orders to determine requirements and completing First Article Inspection Reports. You will support production personnel with inspection issues, handle Reject tags using an ERP system for nonconforming products, and document inspections in the daily catch log.

Responsibilities

  • Perform consistent and accurate inspections without escapes.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports as required.
  • Interpret inspection and customer requirements and implement them accordingly.
  • Conduct detailed and accurate inspections in a timely manner.
  • Maintain organization and good record-keeping skills.
  • Accurately document inspections as required by the job description.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and FARO Arm with Verisurf software.
  • Ability to interpret customer engineering drawings, parts lists, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Previous inspection experience in a machine shop environment or a machine/fabricated components manufacturing facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with quality control and assurance, bench assembly, and blueprint reading.

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $43680.00/yr.
