Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP EWM Technical Solution Architect with deep hands-on expertise in building, delivering, and optimizing SAP S/4HANA Extended Warehouse Management solutions. The role requires strong technical architecture skills, expertise in WRICEF development, EWM frameworks, RF/UI5 integration, and the ability to drive large-scale warehouse automation, optimization, and digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Solution Architecture
- Architect and design end-to-end SAP EWM technical solutions (Embedded & Decentralized).
- Define system landscape, architecture diagrams, integration frameworks, and extensibility objects.
- Lead technical design workshops and provide solution guidance to functional and development teams.
- Provide expert recommendations on EWM technical best practices, coding standards, and SAP guidelines.
Development & Hands-On Expertise
- Oversee and guide development of WRICEF objects:
- Reports, Enhancements, Interfaces (IDocs/Proxy), Conversions, Forms
- Custom RF transactions and device integration
- UI5/Fiori apps relevant to warehouse operations
- Work with ABAP, BTP, OData services, RFC, Warehouse Cockpit enhancements, and other EWM frameworks.
- Lead development for warehouse automation systems: Conveyor, ASRS, AGV/AMR, Robotics, Voice Picking.
Integration & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Architect integrations between EWM and:
- SAP MM/WM, SD, PP, TM, and production logistics
- Third-party WCS/WMS/WES systems
- IoT, RFID, Barcode Scanning, and Mobile Devices
- Support interfaces using SOAP/REST APIs, PI/PO/CPI, and cloud integration layers.
Project Execution & Delivery Ownership
- Own technical delivery for S/4HANA EWM programs including greenfield, brownfield & rollouts.
- Lead code reviews, solution validation, performance tuning, and UAT preparation.
- Resolve high-priority production issues and ensure system stability.
Governance & Quality
- Create and maintain technical documents:
- TS, FS reviews, Coding Standards, Test Scripts, Unit Test Results
- Architecture Documents, Interface Maps, and RICEF Trackers
- Ensure compliance with SAP standards, security policies, audit controls, and best practices.
Practice Development & Presales (25%)
- Contribute to RFPs, proposals, solution decks, and client presentations.
- Conduct internal training sessions and enhance EWM technical knowledge base.
- Evaluate and recommend new SAP capabilities (BTP, AI, mobile frameworks, automation).
Required Skills & Experience
Core Expertise
- 12–17 years of SAP experience with at least 7+ years in SAP EWM technical domain.
- Strong hands-on development experience in:
- ABAP (OO, Enhancements, BADIs)
- RF Framework, ITS Mobile, UI5/Fiori
- OData, REST APIs, BTP extensions
- Queue Management, PPF Actions, Monitor Framework
- Experience with both Decentralized & Embedded EWM.
Warehouse Functional & Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of functional concepts:
- Inbound, Outbound Processes
- Yard Management
- Slotting & Rearrangement
- Physical Inventory
- VAS, Kitting, De-Kitting
- Labor Management
- Experience in Material Flow Systems, automated storage, and device-level integrations.
Project & Domain Experience
- Minimum 2 end-to-end EWM implementations in a technical lead/architect role.
- Strong experience in performance tuning, debugging complex EWM processes, and queue resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP EWM Certification (Technical/Functional).
- Exposure to SAP BTP, CAPM, CPI, Robotics/Automation.
- Experience in global delivery, distributed warehouse environments, and multi-site rollouts.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
