About the Role
As a Senior Events Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving catering revenue through proactive business development and delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a part of COE-Events Management Team to maximize catering revenue through effective space management.
- Assist to identify and develop business opportunities for events and catering sales among all Shangri-La Hotels in Hong Kong.
- Handle logistic arrangements for confirmed events and groups with / without events with organizers in a proactive manner.
- Liaise with event / group organizers on finalizing details and gives professional advice on rooming list, set-ups and planning of events.
- Practice up-selling at all opportunities to maximize revenue.
- Ensure effective communication with clients and internal Departments.
- Be visible to organizers and clients prior to their events start / groups arrive; maintain close communication with concerned Events Sales Manager during the process.
- Actively participate in achieving the Departmental goals through up-selling.
- Provide feed-back on market trends and keep updated on client relationships and overall business goals through close communication with Events Managers.
- Perform other special projects and duties as assigned by Management.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or other related disciplines.
- At least 6 years of catering experience with minimum 3 years at supervisory level; proven records in generating revenues and handling events logistics.
- Aggressive individual with good initiative, organized and able to work under pressure.
- Revenue driven mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Candidate with less experience will be considered as Events Sales Manager.
