Job Title: Cloud Identity & Storage Engineer
Contract: 6-Month Contract (with potential to extend)

Pay: Up to $75/hr – W2 ONLY, NO C2C
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Identity & Storage Engineer to support the administration, security, and optimization of our AWS and Azure environments. This role focuses on cloud storage management, identity and access governance, automation, monitoring, and ensuring overall compliance. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with AWS and Azure services, demonstrate strong scripting/automation capabilities, and possess excellent communication and documentation skills.
Required Skills & Experience
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree
Technical Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure compute and storage services
- Strong experience with IAM policies, MFA, RBAC, and SSO configurations
- Ability to configure alerts, log analysis, monitoring, and reporting
- Experience with resource tagging and cost analysis for cloud assets
- Strong understanding of key and certificate management
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Ability to create clear and comprehensive technical documentation
- Solid understanding of cloud governance and compliance best practices
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience
- Understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO27001)
- General knowledge of AWS and Azure networking concepts
- AWS and/or Azure cloud certifications
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain AWS and Azure storage solutions, ensuring performance and scalability
- Configure and maintain IAM and RBAC policies following least-privilege and zero-trust principles
- Oversee Azure subscription organization and RBAC maintenance
- Manage and integrate SSO configurations with SaaS vendors
- Implement and enhance cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Perform resource tagging, cost review, and optimization activities
- Manage key and certificate lifecycle across cloud environments
- Develop automation scripts for routine processes and operational improvements
- Create, organize, and maintain technical documentation for cloud environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud governance and operational security
