Job Description

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Welder Repair Service Technician position. The Service Technician services various types of welding and automation equipment in an efficient, accurate manner. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Troubleshoot and repair various types of automation and welding equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and functional testing on various types of automation and welding equipment
  • Ability to work in shop on both plasma and welding equipment
  • Enter service orders and research customer records on computer
  • Certify equipment to manufacturer standards
  • Set-up and install new welding and automation equipment
  • Performs other tasks as assigned or necessary

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and follow electrical schematics
  • Knowledge of automation equipment and welding machines
  • Must be able to use volt-ohm meters and amp clamp
  • Basic understanding of AC and DC voltage
  • Knowledge and experience in retro fitting automated equipment
  • Lift equipment from floor to work bench weighing up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Ability to move equipment weighing over 100 lbs
  • Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, AC drives and 3 axis machines a plus
  • Possess strong mechanical, electrical and electronic skills
  • Read repair orders, manuals, reports, schematics, etc.
  • Dependable and willing to perform all assigned tasks
  • Accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge or any software
  • applications applicable to the position
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Wage $18-$20/Hr DOE
