Position Summary

As a Senior Product Owner with UX expertise, you act as the bridge between business objectives and technical execution, ensuring products deliver maximum value to users and stakeholders.

You play a critical role in understanding user behaviors, needs, and motivations through both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Collaborating closely with product owners, business stakeholders, engineering teams, and partner teams, you guide user-centered product and design decisions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Agile & SDLC Expertise: Strong experience in Agile methodology and deep understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Clear Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business partners, translating requirements betwen these constituencies.
  • Product Artifacts: Create EPICs, user stories, wireframes, mockups, and diagrams to convey ideas clearly.
  • Requirements Translation: Convert business requirements into actionable technical specifications.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with development teams to manage interdependencies, set up test cases, debug, and maintain data quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure software stability through documentation, code reviews, regression, unit, and user acceptance testing.
  • UX Research & Design: Apply UX research to uncover insights that enhance usability, accessibility, and overall user satisfaction:
  • User Segmentation: Evaluate and restructure user segments based on ongoing analysis.
  • Usability Testing: Conduct interviews and surveys to identify pain points, opportunities, and information hierarchy for relevant user groups.
  • Insight Synthesis: Translate qualitative and quantitative data into visual representations that align stakeholders and reveal gaps.

  • Collaborative Team Member: Partner with Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, and Feature Lead to drive sprint and release planning.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, owning product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Strategic Planning: Align product goals with long-term business objectives and dependent teams; maintain 1–2 sprints of planned stories.
  • Proactive Communication: Keep leadership informed of plans, progress, risks, and priorities; write concise executive release notes.
  • Critical Thinking & Technical Fluency: Passion for defining solutions that advance user and business goals; curiosity about financial workflows.
  • Visual communication & Alignment: Ability to clearly express ideas, concepts, and complex information through visual means (ie diagrams, wireframes, flowcharts, or data visualizations) to ensure shared understanding among diverse stakeholders, bridge gaps in interpretation, simplify complexity, and foster collaboration by making abstract ideas tangible and actionable.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with site builders.

  • Skilled in creating training materials and maintaining process workflows.
  • Proficient with JIRA and related infrastructure.
  • Some experience with UX research

Pay Range:

$75 - $80 per hour
