Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) with experience in healthcare construction projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing all phases of construction projects, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and client requirements. Candidates with prior experience as a Project Engineer are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing healthcare construction projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines; prepare regular status reports.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare facility standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Assist in managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues that may impact project scope, schedule, or cost.

Essential Skills

• Familiarity with OSHPD/HCAI requirements (or local healthcare regulations).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare construction projects (hospital, clinic, or medical facility).
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, healthcare compliance, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer or similar role is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD is beneficial.
