JOB SUMMARY:
This Manufacturing Coordinator I plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process. This position ensures that manufacturing orders are properly tracked, material issues are resolved promptly, and both internal and external delays are addressed to maintain production flow and meet delivery timelines. They are the first point of contact for inquiries related to manufacturing. Additional responsibilities include raw material assignments to Bills of Material and support the Manufacturing Coordinator II with dispatching and estimating as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

- Monitor and manage manufacturing orders to ensure timely progression through production stages.
- Identify and resolve material shortages or issues by coordinating with inventory, purchasing, and warehouse teams.
- Assign appropriate raw materials to the Bills of Materials that are ordered.
- Follow up on idle or stalled internal orders to ensure they are addressed and moved forward.
- Communicate with vendors regarding quality issues, and late or delayed orders to expedite delivery and maintain production schedules.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for MS and vendors regarding material availability and production concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of order status, material transactions, and vendor communications.
- Support Manufacturing Coordinator II with dispatching, routing and estimating activities.
- Assist in identifying process bottlenecks and suggest improvements to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, purchasing, engineering, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate and/or participate on projects that are system related to component manufacturing.
- Achieve annual departmental vision and strategy objectives.
- Contribute and bring new ideas to weekly team discussions.
- Responsible for complying with all company safety policies and procedures.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes related to metal fabrication and assembly.
- Raw Material makeup and application use
- Machining (tooling, setup, machining equipment)
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials management, and vendor coordination
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Associate degree in Machine Tooling, Engineering or technical certification preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role.
