Akkodis is seeking a Lead Cortex AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in Owings Mills, MD. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of GenAI and LLM applications within Snowflake using Cortex AI components and agentic workflows.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead Cortex AI Engineer job responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop GenAI and LLM applications within Snowflake using Cortex AI components like Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search.
  • Create agentic AI orchestration frameworks in Snowflake Intelligence to enable advanced automation and workflows.
  • Lead the design and development of AI solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage new requirements and produce design artifacts, including codebase development and automation pipelines.
  • Provide technical leadership to onsite-offshore teams, driving project execution and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven solutions and troubleshoot complex technical challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years in Snowflake AI Data Cloud and Python/PySpark programming; 2+ years in LLM-based application development and agentic workflows.
  • Proven ability to design and orchestrate agentic AI applications using Snowflake Cortex components.
  • Strong experience in AWS services and leading teams in an onsite-offshore delivery model.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
