Job description

The Role

We are supporting a leading international financial services organization in their search for a Junior Legal Entity Controller to join their team in Warsaw. The organization is recognized for its commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and professional development. Their Warsaw office plays a strategic role in supporting both regional and global functions, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

As a Junior Legal Entity Controller, you will be responsible for financial reporting and performance analysis for designated legal entities, supporting both internal and external reporting requirements and contributing to the overall financial control environment.

Warsaw, Poland

Hybrid model / onsite for 3 days per week

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, and cost allocations.
  • Producing statutory accounts and managing the external audit process to ensure timely sign-off.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles and preparing tax packs for external advisors.
  • Monitoring FX exposure and contributing to global FX management.
  • Reviewing intercompany recharges, allocations, and transfer pricing processes.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of cash breaks.
  • Liaising with internal departments including Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Operations.
  • Providing ad hoc reporting and analysis to senior management and entity boards.
  • Supporting the implementation of accounting policy changes and other strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A recently qualified accountant with a strong academic background.
  • Experience in financial reporting, preferably within financial services.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership and make decisions independently.
  • Experience with Oracle General Ledger, Hyperion Essbase, Oracle HFM, and MS Excel.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
