What We're Looking For
- Education: Two-year technical degree or equivalent work experience; completion of a three-year electrical apprenticeship required.
- Experience: 5+ years in commercial electrical distribution system installation and maintenance; healthcare experience highly preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman or State Electrician License required. NCDL Required.
- Skills:
- Transfer switch and generator experience is necessary
- Strong troubleshooting skills with switchgear, motor controls, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with life safety and building codes
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals
Preferred: Knowledge of mechanical systems and computer proficiency for documentation and diagnostics.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections on electrical systems and equipment.
- Respond to floor calls to resolve electrical issues for team members and patients.
- Conduct monthly, weekly, and annual testing of electrical systems.
- Manage and assist with power shutdowns during projects and collaborate with utility companies during outages.
- Work closely with contractors on electrical projects and infrastructure maintenance.
- Maintain compliance with safety and building codes across all assigned facilities.
