Sr Transportation Project Manager is responsible for leading and orchestrating comprehensive peak period preparation strategies across the transportation network, working closely with S&OP, topology, network design, configuration teams in addition to transportation peak captains to ensure optimal network performance during high-volume periods.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead medium and short-term peak planning initiatives, aligning transportation capacity with forecasted demand
  • Collaborate with S&OP teams to develop integrated peak readiness plans across all transportation miles
  • Analyze and optimize network configurations and topology to meet peak period requirements
  • Ensure network connections and nodes are properly configured and ready for increased volume
  • Design and implement contingency plans for potential capacity constraints
  • Oversee capacity planning and resource allocation across various transportation teams
  • Monitor and assess network performance metrics to identify potential bottlenecks
  • Lead transportation peak readiness and war rooms meetings

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Experience in employee and performance management
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in English
  • Experience with VBA, Python, SQL, or other database language
  • Experience in project and program management
  • Experience with operations/supply chain

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
