The Facilities Lead Technician is the hands-on hero keeping our attraction running smoothly! You’ll assist the Facilities Team with both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring every ride, cinema, and piece of equipment is safe, efficient, and guest-ready. From troubleshooting machinery to supporting daily operations, you’ll help make every visit seamless while leading by example and supporting your fellow technicians. ✨
Qualifications & Experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of all team members and guests at all times.
- Lead, train, and coach Facilities Technicians to develop skills and uphold operational standards.
- Monitor compliance with procedures, cash handling, and guest service expectations.
- Oversee opening, operating, and closing procedures of the attraction.
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all equipment and machinery, including HVAC, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, plumbing systems, rides, and themed attractions.
- Apply hands-on technical and carpentry skills to solve problems quickly, minimizing downtime and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
- Support daily operations through custodial tasks, re-lamping, lighting systems, painting, wall repair, food and beverage equipment, shipping/receiving, and exhibit setup/takedown.
- Perform other duties as assigned, adapting to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- ???? High school diploma or GED required; technical college degree preferred.
- ???? At least two years of experience in a technical or themed attraction/entertainment venue, with strong
- maintenance, troubleshooting, or carpentry skills.
- ???? Hands-on problem solver, self-motivated, and able to maintain flexibility in high-pressure situations.
- ????️ Proven experience maintaining a wide range of equipment, including rides, machinery, and building systems.
- ???? Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop a team and ensure smooth operations.
Working Conditions:
- Attendance is required, with flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support attraction operations.
Physical Demands:
- Hear, listen, and communicate effectively with team members and guests.
- Stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, and crouch as needed throughout the shift.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Use basic computer tools and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- May operate heavy power equipment, work at heights of 20+ feet, and handle hazardous or corrosive materials.
- May be exposed to loud noises, toxic chemicals, or hazardous waste.
Environmental Factors:
- Work may occur indoors or outdoors with varying temperatures, floor surfaces, and lighting conditions.
- Exposure to extreme heat, cold, damp, or drafty conditions.
- May encounter shaking equipment or intermittent high-pitch noises.
Lifting Requirements:
- May be required to lift or carry items weighing up to 70 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
