Job Summary:
Lead the delivery of academic affairs operations including faculty support, curriculum management and training.
Job-Specific Responsibilities:
The Harvard Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (HSCRB) is a cross-school department, committed to the advancement of biomedical research and to delivering innovative teaching at the interface of biology and medicine. HSCRB seeks an energetic, collaborative Assistant Director of Graduate Studies (ADGS) to lead the delivery of HSCRB graduate programming, including curriculum and training design, development and management, logistics and project management for master’s and doctoral programs. Reporting to the Department’s Director of Education, the ADGS will also play a pivotal role in continued innovation in the department’s teaching portfolio, and in student advising. The ADGS works closely with the SCRB Education Team to operationalize and strengthen course work, and to provide opportunities for additional learning, mentoring, and engagement. The ADGS will also oversee any staff supporting graduate education.

Work Format Details
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
