Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in pharmacovigilance operations, including hands-on signal detection and management
  • Profound knowledge of ICH GCP, GVP guidelines, and local pharmacovigilance regulations
  • Strong understanding of signal detection processes, statistical methodologies, and safety database applications
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and leadership abilities
  • Effective communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in an international, matrix environment and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Experience with PV audits, inspections, and CAPA processes
  • Proficiency in developing risk mitigation strategies and aggregate safety reports

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with AI, large language models, and regulations concerning AI in healthcare
  • Experience integrating AI solutions into pharmacovigilance processes
  • Knowledge of MedDRA queries and technical signal analysis tools
  • Skills in developing and customizing signal management software
  • Knowledge of regulatory updates and industry best practices in signal management

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Nursing, MD, PharmD, PhD, or related medical/scientific degree
  • Prior leadership roles in global pharmacovigilance teams or signal management functions
  • Experience working within or alongside pharmaceutical industry partnering agreements

Other Requirements:

  • Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous
  • Willingness to engage with external working groups and represent the company at industry events
  • Ability to adapt to hybrid work arrangements in Basel, Switzerland
  • Willingness to travel as needed for audits, inspections, or stakeholder meetings
